近代《泰晤士报》涉藏报道倾向、议题设置,被深深地打上了浓烈的政治烙印。在近代英帝国主义两次侵略西藏期间,《泰晤士报》服务于营造有利于英国在藏利益的舆论环境,涉藏新闻成为带有政治倾向性、阶级利益和作战意图的文本。在辛亥革命期间,《泰晤士报》大肆染指西藏事务,干涉中国对西藏的主权管辖。近代《泰晤士报》涉藏报道对西方主流媒体和西方民众认知西藏产生了消极的负面影响。
Abstract：The tendency and theme of Tibet-related reports in The Times were deeply marked with political tendency in modern times.During the British invasions of Tibet in modern times,The Times created the public opinion environment inclined to British interests.The Tibet-related news became a text of political tendency,class interests and military intention.During the Revolution of 1911,The Times meddled actively in Tibetan affairs and interfered in China’s sovereignty of Tibet.The Tibet-related news reports in The Times had made negative impact on the Western mainstream media and public perception.
