藏族爱狗、护狗,称藏獒为"龙狗",与狗的关系十分密切。部分学者根据对藏族神话传说的分析、历史典籍的考释、社会根源的考查、民俗习惯的解读,得出犬是藏族的图腾。而有些学者却认为,犬非藏族图腾,藏族犬文化与图腾崇拜无关,至多是原始动物崇拜的遗留,体现了犬在藏族人民心中的地位以及藏族人对犬的态度。通过对藏族民间谚语中贬狗现象的分析,尝试为犬非藏族图腾提供一个新的视点。
Abstract：Tibetans like to keep dogs and provide good care for their dogs as well. Dogs are seen as special animal and have close relations with Tibetan people traditionally as mastiffs are called "dragon dogs". According to the analysis of Tibetan myths and legends,the examination and interpretation of historical books,the examination of social roots,and the interpretation of folk customs,some scholars concluded that dogs are Tibetan totem. However,others hold a very different perspective,and Tibetan dog culture has nothing to do with totem worship. It is a legacy of primitive animal worship other than totem.This article takes the dog culture in Tibetan proverbs as an entry point,enumerating the proverbs related to dogs,and analyzes the dog phenomenon in Tibetan proverbs regarding dog status,attitude towards dog,and dogs are belittled in the proverbs. Finally,the paper attempts to provide a new angle for the viewpoint of not seeing the dog as Tibetan Totem.
