文章就史前与部落时期、吐蕃至清朝时期的射箭运动作了探讨,认为西藏古代的弓箭最早是原始人类防身自卫、狩猎生产的重要工具,被先民刻画在岩石上;后来随着西藏文化的发展以及寺院在西藏各地的大量修建,人们又把射箭绘制在寺院壁画上。西藏古代的射箭运动不仅是练武的重要手段,而且还起到愉悦身心、娱乐的作用,是藏民族民风民俗的体现。

Through a comparison of Tibetan archery between prehistoric time and tribal period,the period of Tubo Kingdom and Qing Dynasty,the paper states that the ancient Tibetan archery is the important tool for the defense and hunting activities,carved on the rocks by the ancient Tibetans while,later,it is painted on the monastic murals as the development of Tibetan culture and the building of large-scale monasteries in Tibet. The ancient Tibetan archery not only is a way of exercising but functions as a form of entertainment,representing a sort of Tibetan folklore.
