空行母作为藏传佛教中一个不可或缺的元素,一直是西方学者研究的焦点之一。自19世纪末开始,西方学者就注意对此的研究。至今,在国外不仅相关空行母文献被译成外文的数量很多,而且西方学者对其的研究可以说既有广度又有深度。我们研读他们的有关研究著述,能从他们的新视野中认识空行母丰富多彩的文化,从中也能开掘出我们国内学人不曾注意到的,或者习焉不察的一些学术问题,进而开阔我们的研究视角。
Abstract：Dākinī as an indispensable element within Tibetan Buddhism,which is one of the focuses for western scholars. They have endeavored to study the topic of dākinī since the end of the nineteenth century. There are not only a large body of dākinī's literatures translated into English,but also western scholars' speculation on them can be said to be profound and informative. By studying their discoveries,we can understand the rich culture of dākinī from a new perspective. We can also find some academic problems that our domestic scholars have not noticed or neglected. This paper systematically sorts out and reviews the studies of dākinī in the English-Speaking world from these two respects:monographs and academic journal papers,puts forward some thoughts on it.
